Activities for Family Caregivers
VNA Community Healthcare offers caregivers opportunities to take a break from their routine. Each Fall and Spring we sponsor free seminars on topics directly related to caregivers' needs.
Every Thursday afternoon, rain, snow or shine, the drop-in Caregiver Walking Group gathers from 1:00-2:30 p.m. in North Branford. Newcomers are always welcome. Meet us at Evergreen Woods, front of main building, 88 Notch Hill Road, North Branford. When the weather is bad, Evergreen Woods provides a comfortable meeting space.
Our annual "Chicken Soup for the Caregiver's Soul" is an evening of heart warming soup, camaraderie and relaxing sessions of massage, reiki and reflexology. This event is free and is put on by VNA employees and volunteers, who are all former family caregivers, and local relaxation therapists who donate their services.
For more information, call JoAnn Begley at 203.458.5950 or use our Contact Us page to send your questions.
